The Queen's Chamber Trio—harpsichordist Elaine Comparone, violinist Robert Zubrycki, and cellist Peter Seidenberg—takes a fresh look at three of Joseph Haydn's keyboard trios from 1794–97 (Hob XV:27, 28, and 31), typically played on modern grand piano or fortepiano. Its innovative approach enlivens these pieces with harpsichord sparkle and a delicious blend of plucked and bowed strings.
