Hoping to get from Texas to Alabama to claim heirlooms left by his late grandfather, blues guitarist Jefferson Bailey (Morgan Simpson) catches a ride with a stranger, Augy (Michael Clarke Duncan). Also released as Black, White and Blues, this 2010 feature follows the men on their journey, as an unlikely friendship develops over a few drinks and the duo's passion for music; by the time they reach Huntsville, however, Bailey and Augy will have to face some sad truths, leading to heartbreak and even violence.
"Both performances are pitch perfect. With his basso voice, intimidating glare and toothy smile, the giant-sized Duncan casts a mesmerizing presence.... Composer Tree Adams, who wrote many of the blues songs within his vibrant score, is truly a one-man musical wonder."—Hollywood Reporter
