The soldiers who took part in World War II wore a broad array of uniforms, adapted to all manner of duties and locales. Grouped together by country, each of the 260 entries here is illustrated with a large, full-color illustration which depicts the uniform, and some of the images are based on notable individuals who fought in the war. Also included is a description of what the figure is wearing and why, including badges, rank insignia, typical weapons, and any other equipment he would have carried. Each entry also has a specifications box which gives the date, unit, rank, theater, and exact location of the uniform illustrated.
