An incorrigible eavesdropper, Oslo Davis has made a career of recording his observations of "life in the city" in cartoons that capture the humor, irony, and silliness of everyday life. While Oslo snoops on what people are talking about, we get to reflect on, and laugh at, the crazy things that occupy people's minds—which is to say, our minds. Among the standouts here are the daughter telling her mother "This is just a shopping call. I'm in a frenzy,", the overweight man pondering what is least bad to eat, the hipster commenting on what is truly hip, a little girl who is terrified that a chicken could have given her bird flu; and a dejected family leaving the circus, the dad musing, "It was game over when she realized there'd be no monkeys."
