When Lulu's feeling well, she climbs every tree in sight, especially the tallest ones, with the widest branches and the stickiest sap. But in this story for readers 4 to 8 by the author of the Caldecott Honor Book All the World, when Lulu's sick, she's not allowed outside. She wonders if the trees are lonely without her, and maybe the birds too. Combining traditional art materials and printmaking techniques with a few digital touches, Hadley Hooper's cheerful illustrations show what happens when Lulu sees the shadow of a tree on her wall, and imagines a new way to climb.
