Developed in conjunction with the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, Art Activity Packs introduce readers 6 to 10 to important artists, focusing on particular techniques and concepts in their work. Each folio features a paperback book with large color illustrations, as well as "My Artist's Notebook," an activity book with projects inspired by the artist's work, and blank pages for your own creations. You'll also find a large folded poster for coloring, based on a masterpiece by the artist.
Beginning with Pablo Picasso's prodigal genius and his early paintings, this set explores his restless intelligence and curiosity, as he constantly reinvented his artistic style. "I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them," he said. Unlike the other Art Packs, this one does not contain an activity notebook and poster, but rather a collection of unusual printed papers and a guide to creating collage as Picasso did.
