Originally published in 1914, this was James Joyce's first major work, written in self-imposed exile in Trieste. A collection of 15 short stories dealing with fleeting episodes in the everyday lives of ordinary Dubliners, it forms what Joyce called "a chapter of moral history … the first step toward the spiritual liberation of my country." The book is presented here in its Pulp! The Classics edition, with witty cover art that casts it in an intriguing new light, though the text is purely Joyce's.
