While trying to enjoy her Sicilian retirement, Auntie Poldi is confronted by the last person she wants to see: John Owenya, detective inspector with the Tanzanian Ministry of Home Affairs, who is also her estranged lying cheat of a husband. In this third case (after The Vineyards of Etna), John needs help tracking his brother, whom both the Sicilian and the Tanzanian mobs would like to find first. With only a postcard that has a phone number and a name, "Handsome Antonio," on the back, Auntie Poldi sets out in an immaculate red Maserati Cabrio—but the people she discovers along the way may very well knock her immaculate wig askew.
