Things are rarely as they first seem, particularly when seen from a different angle, or in a different context. Here Italian designer Flavia Ruotolo asks viewers 4 to 6 to look at familiar and simple shapes and notice how they change, one minute a mushroom, the next a cereal bowl; a planet becomes an orange; a rocket, turned on its side, a wind sock. Soothing and simple, the boldly colored images are a spur to creativity, and they remind children to observe carefully.
