Once upon a time, a little boy named Willy discovered that the best way to get out of doing things you don't want to do—taking a bath, or going to his violin lesson—is to cry, "Wolf!" We all know the ending of this "delightfully outrageous updating of Aesop" (Washington Post), but much of the appeal of this tale for tale for readers 4 to 8 derives from Tony Ross's ink and watercolor illustrations of clueless Willy and the extremely dapper wolf.
