Captured here by Paavo Järvi and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Symphony, Antonín Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 ("From the New World") is worth the price of admission by itself. Nonetheless, this two-disc set also includes André Previn's take on the Symphony No. 8, Notturno in B, and the charming Scherzo Capriccioso, while Conrad van Alphen conducts the Rotterdam players in the gratifying Serenade for Strings.
