In 2003, Teresa Bruce, her new husband, and her old dog piled into a camper for a road trip through Mexico and onto the Pan American Highway. They traced the same route that Bruce's family had taken 30 years earlier, as they attempted to heal from a personal tragedy. Using her mother's travel journal as a roadmap, Bruce creates and shares her own vivid impressions of Guatemala, Bolivia, and Argentina.
