In her twenties and working for a landscaper, Carla knows that she should be doing something that matters. Hired for a job at the home of the aging poet Viridian, she is introduced to an eccentric circle of writers who recite lines in conversation, who love to recall their many liaisons and wine-soaked nights. As a fight emerges over a vital cache of poems that an ex-lover wrote about Viridian, Carla gets drawn in. But how much will she sacrifice for a group that may or may not see her as one of their own?
