Setting Up an Account
First time library orders must be prepaid; pending credit approval, subsequent orders may be invoiced.Terms are Net 30 days. A/R privileges may be denied or discontinued at our discretion. Give your Federal tax identification number with your first order. Tax-exempt libraries in Maryland should send a copy of their current tax-exempt number. Orders must be mailed or faxed on a purchase order or letterhead. We do not accept orders by phone or on our web site. We cannot guarantee the return of any vouchers or paperwork submitted with orders. The purchase order number you give will appear on the packing slip, invoice, and monthly statement. If you use separate purchase order numbers for each item, we will use the first one (space is limited to 10 characters).
Library orders are processed one day per week - usually Thursday or Friday
US libraries ordering $200 or more at one time will qualify for a 20% discount on remainder books only. There is no discount for non-remainder books, DVD's, CDís, or shipments to libraries outside the US. We reserve the right to exempt any individual item from discounts. Please read these instructions carefully. We are not responsible for P.O.ís that are incorrect, including underestimating what you owe, or the submission of P.O.ís by unauthorized parties.
Postage and Handling
Prepaid US orders pay $7.95 for postage and handling. Invoiced orders ($15 merchandise minimum) pay actual shipping costs. A/R purchase orders must specify the institution agrees to pay actual shipping charges.
International Libraries, including postage & handling
Libraries outside the US are treated as international consumers. All orders must be prepaid and no discounts apply. Delivery charges are actual cost, which will vary with the weight of the order.
Web Site
At this time, we have a consumer web site. While it is a wonderful resource for researching titles of interest, please do not place your orders via the web. The site is not designed to accept A/R orders or apply discounts
