An allegorical 1993 film set to the music of Czech composer Leo Janácek's 1927 choral masterpiece Glagolitic [Slavonic] Mass, The Dandelion Crown shows how an insignificant member of society struggles to maintain her individuality in a world where such voices are silenced. But it does ultimately offer the consolation that the leader of the Inquisition cannot escape punishment himself.
