A classic of war literature, Boys' Book of Border Battles puts readers at the scene of some of the most storied battles in American history, from George Washington's charges against the French in the mid-18th century to the drawn-out wars in the western territories between the ever-advancing frontier settlers and Native American tribes. Former newspaper man Edwin Sabin (18701952) strove for accuracy and exhaustively researched his military fiction, imagining conversations while faithfully depicting historical events as they happened. This reprint reproduces the 1920 text in its original state, complete with facsimiles of its illustration plates.
