Description
This rip-roaring trio of classic westerns spotlights four male movie icons who portray rugged, stalwart denizens of the American West. In The Man from Colorado (1948), Glenn Ford and William Holden are two soldiers returning from the Civil War. Ford becomes a corrupt federal judge and Holden his marshal; both vie for the same woman. With stunning photography by Charles Lang, The Man From Laramie (1955) stars James Stewart as a man out to avenge the death of his brother. And in Man in the Saddle (1951), Randolph Scott is a farmer who turns to violence when a land baron threatens him.

"Visually impressive, psychologically complex, and sometimes brutally violent.... It's 24-carat stuff."Time Out London (on The Man From Laramie)

"The screenplay might build friendship and community among the plucky band being cut down as they stand up to naked greed, but the standout scenes are the remarkable gunfight in a darkened saloon and a vigorous punch-up in a collapsing mountain shack. Scott looks the part, as ever, and his affectionate scenes with independent cowgal Drew have an understated warmth."Time Out London (on The Man in the Saddle)
