(Winner of the Best Feature Film Award at the San Francisco Black Film Festival; Winner of the Audience Award at New York City's Urbanworld Film Festival) On the morning of his graduation party, Tunde (Ian Alsup) has alienated his sister (Kerisse Hutchinson) and endures criticism from his brother (Sean Phillips); worse yet, his mother (Joy Merriweather) has started drinking again. For this special day, Tunde has arranged for his father (D. Rubin Green) to return after an absence of ten years, but such a surprise may reopen some old wounds within the family. This 2007 drama is paired here with the experimental short Tell Us the Truth Josephine, which recounts a Maltese immigrant woman's trek across Canada on stilts.
