While on vacation in Norway, Michigan quilter Marjorie Nelson met Gerd Villadsen, owner of a small quilt shop called Syskrinet AS, and before the week was over, Nelson was teaching classes in Villadsen's shop. They met again six years later at International Quilt Market and Festival in Houston, and began a round-robin exchange between their quilting friends in Michigan and Norway. Here, with her daughter Rebecca, Nelson explores their round-robin experience and the many pieces shared, resulting in 20 "quilt recipes" for blocks and borders, which they present along with more than 50 patterns and templates for appliqué, square, triangular, and plain borders.
