Mild-mannered widower Horace Quimby (Michael Bentine) wanders the streets of London with his sandwich board, advertising a clothing store wherever he goes. Along the way Quimby encounters a scoutmaster (Terry-Thomas), a policeman (Ian Hendry), a model (Suzy Kendall), a photographer (Bernard Cribbins), and a boxing priest (Norman Wisdom), but his chief concern is to find out the results of an important pigeon race. Panned upon its release, this 1966 film has gained in popularity over the years, owing to its authentic "Swinging 60s" backdrop and its cavalcade of British stars from the era.
