London, 1947: the wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip is just around the corner, and Tom Bowen (Fred Astaire) and his sister Ellen (Jane Powell) bring their dancing act to town. While Ellen is swept off her feet by impoverished nobleman Lord John Brindale (Peter Lawford), Tom is enchanted by fellow dancer Anne Ashmond (Sarah Churchill); as much as Anne wants to reciprocate, she has a fiancé somewhere, and it will be up to Tom to find him. With any luck, perhaps there can be more than one wedding in London. Among the standout tunes in this 1951 musical are "Sunday Jumps" and—in one of his most memorable performances—"You're All the World to Me," which features Astaire dancing on the walls.
