Perhaps inspired by Seth Casteel's Underwater Dogs, German fine art photographer Julia Christe captured her Frisbee-loving Spanish water dog, Flinn, in mid-leap; garnering international attention for the humorous and sometimes invigorating charm of these photos, she decided to try capturing some other breeds on film. Showcasing the athleticism and humbling trustfulness of dogs, the 120 color photographs here—none of which involved hurting man's best friend—include a Shar Pei bulldog mix seemingly about to soar into space, a Mudi mix kicking up his heels, a Shih Tzu who has become a furry sphere with eyes, and a Pomeranian looking extremely concerned about the way back down.
