In a trailblazing career that spanned more than 80 years, Eva Zeisel stood at the forefront of modern designers through her creation of sleek, organic, stylish ceramic housewares. "Before we can make things that are pleasant to see, we must find pleasure in seeing the things that are offered to our sight," Zeisel declares, and here she takes stock of her own inspirations; the nearly 250 images include a host of her works juxtaposed with an ancient jug and an arch of the Alhambra, an astronaut's helmet and the façade of a skyscraper.
