Dutch artist Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) was a leading proponent of the De Stijl movement, and progressed from Impressionist landscapes to Cubism and abstract works toward the end of his career. Spanning the years 1913-42, this poster collection focuses on Mondrian's powerful compositions of bold rectilinear line that at times seem to crowd even the color fields off the canvas. It also features other abstract work with variations on his usual format, including Composition No. II (1913), Grid Composition 9: Chessboard Composition with Bright Colors (1919), and New York City I (1942). Printed on heavy white stock (measuring just over 13¼ x 11¾ inches) with generous borders, these superb reproductions are captioned on the reverse, and suitable to be removed and framed.
