Meeting as teenagers in 1950 Los Angeles, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller soon forged one of rock 'n' roll's greatest songwriting teams, penning hits for Elvis Presley, the Coasters, and the Drifters. Recorded in London, this 2001 concert is a fitting tribute to the duo, with Ben E. King on hand to perform "Stand By Me," while Tom Jones sings "Jailhouse Rock" and Pink Floyd's David Gilmour is heard on the ballad "Don't." Other performers include Jane Monheit ("I'm a Woman"), Victoria Owen ("Love Potion No. 9"), Oliver Darley ("Treat Me Nice"), Chris Rea ("On Broadway"), Elkie Brooks ("Pearl's a Singer"), and Leo Sayer ("I Keep Forgetting").
