On the day after Pearl Harbor, German agent Martin Browning is in Los Angeles, planning to kill FDR on the night he lights the National Christmas Tree. In this thriller, FBI Agent Frank Carter intends to stop him, as does Hollywood script reader Kevin Cusack, a part-time spy who becomes a suspect himself. When the day comes, thousands of people gather on the South Lawn of the White House, and the lives of Franklin Roosevelt and his surprise guest, Winston Churchill, hang in the balance.
