Born into a wealthy New York family in 1898, Marguerite "Peggy" Guggenheim was one of the greatest art collectors of the 20th century. She was also a larger than life personality, and so here photographer Stefan Moses reveals his collection of rare photographs of Peggy, taken between 1969 and 1974. Striking, eccentric, and dramatic, Peggy is seen in her favorite places around Venice—cruising in a gondola with her Lhasa Apso dogs—as well as in her private palazzo, which was decorated with masterpieces by Miro, Ernst, and De Chirico.
