Presented in a glossy portfolio, each of these gift sets features a beautifully decorated paper model of a central character or vehicle from the Star Wars saga—complete with a battery-operated module for electronic sound and light effects. The pieces are preprinted with metallic inks on glossy die-cut cardstock, ready for builders age 14 to adult to punch out and glue together. Each set also includes a 48-page action profile of the subject throughout the series, heavily illustrated with film stills.
Where would the galaxy be without R2-D2? Queen Amidala would never have escaped from Naboo, Luke Skywalker wouldn't have found Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Princess Leia would have been left to her fate on the Death Star. This set gives the little droid his due, with a lighted, authentically detailed paper model that stands about 12 inches high when finished—and makes three characteristic sounds—as well as a history profiling sixteen missions that R2 undertook with heroic bravery and resourcefulness.
