Charlotte is delighted to host a book club retreat, but when one of the guests is poisoned at a Mad Hatter tea party, Charlotte realizes she's fallen down a rather unpleasant rabbit hole. The victim was the unscrupulous owner of a jewelry store that deals in "hot" merchandise, so as Charlotte and Ellen delve deeper into each guest's story, they realize all of them had a motive and the means. Following Reserved for Murder, this third outing requires the duo to seek local help in their quest for a happy ending.
