(Winner of the Audience Award: Best of NEXT at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival) Moving to Nevada to put his unhappy memories behind him, Martin Bonner (Paul Eenhoorn) takes a job at a nonprofit organization that helps freed prisoners become acclimated to everyday life. Released after serving 12 years, Travis Holloway (Richmond Arquette) struggles to find a foothold in Reno, but meeting Bonner opens new perspectives for both men. When Holloway sees an opportunity to reconnect with his estranged daughter, however, he will be tempted to sacrifice his friendship with his mentor. This 2013 drama was praised by Variety as "Americana of a very immediate sort, a tale of redemption that may leave its viewers with an uncanny sense of peace."
"A quietly devastating grace note of a film.... Wonderfully acted and something of a minimalist masterpiece."—LATimes
