It may be that storytelling was invented when ancient hunters around the fire figured out how to cast shadow puppets on the cave wall. You can show you're at least as smart as a caveman (while entertaining any nearby youngsters) by trying your own hand at the animal shadows on this transforming mug. When cold, the mug displays ten shadows: a spider, swan, dove, dog, elephant, rooster, pig, camel, rabbit, and stag. Pour in any hot liquid, and the shadows disappear, revealing how to form your hands for each one. The 10-ounce mug is microwave-safe, but the heat-sensitive artwork is an appliqué, and not intended to withstand dishwashers or long soaks in the sink; just wash the cup gently with warm soapy water.
