It's bedtime, but Boris doesn't want to go to sleep; how can he rest when he's hungry, his ear itches, his pajamas feel like they're on backward, and his cuddlebunny is hogging the bed? In this tale for readers 4 to 7 by the creators of Wodney Wat's Wobotand the Tacky the Penguin series, Boris's mom and dad affectionately tuck the little badger in, but after a while they refuse to respond to his antics. Eventually Boris gets to sleep, but the cub encounters further difficulties when the wakies at bedtime lead to snoozing—and trouble—at school. As always, Helen Lester's text shows an understanding of how young people think, and Lynne Munsiger's sunny, expressive watercolors bring an endearing and believable quality to these childlike animals.
